SKYHAWK-1145P 114mm (4.5") f/500 Parabolic Newtonian Reflector Telescope SKYHAWK-1145P 114mm (4.5") f/500 Parabolic Newtonian Reflector Telescope
In our opinion at SBTC this has got to be one of the best little starter telescopes on the market.
The Skyhawk 1145P Telescope has won several awards and best buys in Astronomy magazine reviews, and rightfully so.
If you are just starting out in Astronomy and have a limited budget then this is a model well worth giving consideration.
The SKYHAWK-1145P model features a premium-quality Parabolic Primary Mirror, normally found in larger more expensive telescopes, to eliminate spherical aberrations, producing even sharper, higher-contrast images which are full of detail. A parabolic or more accurately a "paraboloidal" mirror, is ground to a shape which brings all incoming light rays to a perfect focus, on axis. In addition they feature 0.5mm Ultra-Thin secondary mirror supports, to reduce diffraction spikes and light loss.

Magnifications (with optics supplied): x20, x40, x50, x100
Highest Practical Power (Potential): x228
Diameter of Primary Mirror: 114mm
Telescope Focal Length: 500mm (f/5)
Eyepieces Supplied (1.25"): 10mm & 25mm
x2 Barlow Lens
Parabolic Primary Mirror
0.5mm Ultra-Thin Secondary Mirror Supports

The Skywatcher Explorer 130 is one of our most popular starter Telescopes
as it has a good aperture and a mount that easily supports the tube with enough
stability. It certainly represents excellent value for money.
It has started many of our customers off in Astronomy, Some of whom have progressed to
bigger and better scopes, Some who have stuck with the 130 as it gives them enough
to keep their interest going.

EXPLORER-130M 130mm (5.1") f/900 MOTORISED Newtonian Reflector Telescope EXPLORER-130M 130mm (5.1") f/900 MOTORISED Newtonian Reflector Telescope
Same great model as the Standard Skywatcher Explorer 130
but with the addition of a Motor drive to allow tracking.
This will allow long time exposure Astrophotography or easier Viewing
of objects as the motor will keep up with the object as the Earth rotates.
