Minox compact binoculars are available in an 8x24 BR and a 10x25 BR model.
Compact binoculars offer an excellent light-weight compromise if you just want
something to pack in a ruck sack or for casual general observation.
While they will not offer the optical quality of a 'full-size' pair, they still
perform well in all but the poorest of light conditions. The 8x24 and 10x25s are
weather (rain)-proof and have a good all-round performance : price ratio,
although cannot be safely fully immersed in water as they are not 'waterproof'.

Minox BL Lightweight Binoculars.
Weighing in at just 525g, the 8x32 BL are approximately 80g lighter than the
605g 8x42 or 10x42 BL.
They all feature a new design of rubber armouring which provides
better grip in all weather conditions.
The central focus wheel is also fully rubber armoured to ensure ease of use and
grip, even with gloves on.
They are fully waterproof to a depth of 5m and Nitrogen purged to
prevent internal fogging during quick temperature changes.
