Introduced in response to the ever increasing demand for quality travelscopes, the GS 52 GA ED sets new standards for light transmission, resolution and colour contrast offering a practical alternative to larger heavier telescopes in situations where size and weight are an issue.
Conceived as a viable replacement for an 80mm 'scope, the GS 52 GA ED offers full compatibility with the current range of SDL, HDF T, HDF and HR2 eyepieces and telephoto accessories. Fitted with full-size 24mm prisms from the larger GS scopes, the models are able to deliver optimum light transmission from the 52mm twin-element ED objective.At just 200mm long, the GS 52 GS ED is designated a Travelscope but features the centrally positioned twin focusing system of the full-size GS models to allow accurate focusing adjustment at higher magnification settings. For garden birdwatching and photography, close focus has been set at just 2.5m.Fully rubber armoured and nitrogen gas filled for protection against the elements, the models are fitted with a lightweight magnesium tripod sleeve offering -/+ 90° each-way rotation for easier positioning when viewing from the confines of a hide or vehicle.
Fully tested for continuous trouble free use in varying temperatures, GS 52 GA ED Travelscopes are supplied with the assurance of limited 30 year guarantee.

Introduced in response to demand for high quality lightweight waterproof telescopes the GS 665 GA sets the standard for people wanting to take-out and walk-about with their equipment whether for birdwatching or general wildlife observation. Available in straight-through or 45°, the models are designed and manufactured to meet the three main requirements demanded by today's active fieldscope user: high-end optical performance, usability and reliability.
'High end' optical performance and value
The GS 665 GA uses a 66.5mm dia objective lens without any noticeable gain in size or weight over a 65mm. With a 5% more light entering the telescope, more light is emitted, resulting in brighter images compared to a standard 65mm throughout the magnification range. 100% designed and manufactured in Japan using high quality glass and other materials, each GS 665 GA produces high resolution images with minimal edge distortion and accurate color reproduction.
Usability
The GS 665 GA is designed to provide class winning optical performance seamlessly in even pretty harsh conditions. Protected by full body natural rubber armour, the centrally positioned focusing wheel allows easy access for both right and left handed users and is rubber covered to deliver a positive feel with or without gloves. The focusing system is designed to allow adjustment from infinity to 50 metres in just a 270° turn with close focus set at 4m. Housed within the same mechanism is a 9:1 ratio focus adjuster, providing greater focusing accuracy at top end magnifications.

The advantages of a 100mm diameter objective lens become clear when viewing at magnifications over 50x. With a surface area 1.5x that of an 80mm OG fieldscope, the ES 100 is easily able to out perform similarly specified 80mm (ED and Fluorite models) delivering brighter images with a higher resolving power. For terrestrial use, better definition and higher colour contrast mean more accurate and more enjoyable long range viewing. Preferred eyepieces include the HDF 42xWW, 27-80x and SDL 27-80x. For Astronomy the ES 100's versatility as a compact F650mm 4" refractor with erected image viewing should also be considered.
